Attitude of discipline

You can develop an attitude of discipline.

The more discipline you impose on yourself, the more freedom you will give yourself. Doing whatever you want is not freedom, but it can lead to slavery.

What does it mean to have an attitude of discipline?

It means doing what needs to be done.

It means doing things on time.

It means doing things regardless.

What needs to be done
It is only doing what you need to do that gives you the freedom to do what you want to do. If you want to make sales, you need to get prospects. If you don’t do what you need to do—prospect—you can’t do what you want to do: make a sale.

On time
Time is not saved, it is spent. Once it is gone, it can never be recaptured. Commit to the attitude that you will do things that matter most—NOW!

Regardless of whether you want to or not . . . this is the attitude that success demands. Regardless of how you feel mentally about a task, if you do it, you will feel better because it is done.

Remember what Emerson and I said about discipline:

Do the thing and you will have the power.

Discipline is a bridge between where you are and where you want to be.
