Definite Purpose
It was Andrew Carnegie who once said,
"Study any person who is known to be a permanent success and you will find that he has a Definite Major Goal; he has a plan for the attainment of this goal; he devotes the major portion of his thoughts and his efforts to the attainment of the purpose... It becomes a burning desire."

To succeed in selling and in life, you must know what you want to achieve — you must have a purpose. Once the goal has been clearly defined, you must then create a plan for the attainment of this goal.

Knowing what you want and designing the blueprint for achieving it is simply not enough. Achieving your purpose will require your focus, your thoughts and your best energies put forth every day.

Until your goal dominates your thoughts and actions, it is not a burning desire. And without that fire, your purpose will not be fulfilled.
