Attitude

YOU can have an attitude for success!



This week, we’re going to talk about one of the biggest factors in the success equation: your attitude. How you feel about your role in doing what must be done to achieve success is critical. An attitude of success is one of personal responsibility, accountability, and dedication. Successful people have a certain attitude about the things they must do to achieve success. They understand how to create the future they desire and make the commitment to follow it through. Therefore, they take the position that they must do certain things to attain the goals they set.

What does it mean to have an attitude of success?

It means purpose.

It means passion.

It means preparation.

It means persistence.


Purpose
Successful people have a reason for what they are about. The motive for every thought they entertain is understood and the intention of every action is clear. They know why they are doing everything they do.

Passion
Successful people have an obsession about what they desire to accomplish. They speak with excitement, and they act with enthusiasm. Their outlook is optimistic, and they feel success is sure.

Preparation
Successful people prepare to succeed. They do the needed research, put in the time to learn, and practice their trade. They don’t wing it; they perfect it.

Persistence
Successful people know that determination and diligence are required factors of success. They make and keep the resolution to do whatever is required to succeed.

Remember what William James said about attitudes for success:

It is our attitude at the beginning of a difficult task, which more than anything else, will determine its successful outcome.
