Is Your Working Environment a Magnet?

December 19, 2018 by Gary O'Sullivan Leave a Comment

Is the working environment inside your company one that draws people to your organization? Listen as I share my insights on the importance of having a great working environment.

Transcription of Video Below

Hi, it’s Gary. It’s always interesting to me to see the different things they have at airports to get people’s attention and create an ambiance for that particular terminal. They’ve done a great job at this one here.

I think it’s very interesting how they’re literally drawn to this feature. What I want to ask you is this, think about your businesses in just a minute, are people drawn to your business? Do they really want to be a part of your business? Is there something unique that it’s appealing to them that they want to be a part of your environment in your business?

Today, more than ever, the working environment is very-very critically important to people. So you need to be thinking about the working environment in your business. Is it a place that people want to be? Do you have a strong culture? Do you have something that people want to be a part of? Are they drawn to it?

If you can do that, you will get and keep better talent, and you’ll get more out of them while they’re there. So think about your business. Does it draw people because of the environment or might it be something that pushes them away a little bit? I hope not, but think about it and make sure you create a great working environment, so you can attract, develop and retain the best talent in your market.
